British startup Synthesia has launched Roleplay Sessions, an interactive corporate training platform built around AI avatars, TechCrunch reported.
Employees can practise sales calls, difficult conversations with direct reports and other workplace situations. The avatar responds in real time, raises objections and scores the exchange against criteria set by the company.
Synthesia co-founder and CEO Victor Riparbelli said practice with feedback helps people build skills more effectively than watching videos or reading documents.
Synthesia provides its own avatar and voice technology, while OpenAI models power the underlying conversational reasoning. The platform also collects participant scores and analytics.
The company said early enterprise customers are already using Roleplay Sessions in commercial deployments. Sales and leadership training are the most common initial use cases.
