Brief.uz
Editorial policy
The principles Brief.uz follows when preparing, verifying, publishing and correcting journalism.
Mission and accountability
Brief.uz aims to publish accurate, timely and newsworthy information. ADGO is the publisher. The newsroom is responsible for its content and makes editorial decisions independently of advertisers, partners and other outside interests.
Sources and verification
Where possible, we confirm material claims with multiple independent sources, consult primary documents and give relevant parties an opportunity to respond to disputed information. We may protect a source when the information is in the public interest and disclosure could cause harm, but the newsroom must know the source’s identity.
Facts, opinion and headlines
Reporting is separated from opinion and commercial content. Headlines must reflect the article and must not mislead readers. Images, video and quotations should not be deliberately presented out of context.
Authorship and conflicts of interest
A story identifies its author or the newsroom. Contributors must disclose personal or financial interests that could affect their work. Gifts or payment cannot determine an editorial decision.
Advertising and sponsored content
Paid and native advertising must carry clear labels. An advertiser may verify facts about its own product but cannot direct independent editorial coverage.
Artificial intelligence
AI tools may assist with translation, transcription, ideation and technical processing. A person verifies material facts and the newsroom remains responsible for publication. We do not present synthetic images or statements as documentary evidence.
Corrections and updates
We correct material errors as soon as reasonably possible. When a change affects the meaning of a story, we add a visible correction or update note. Send requests to [email protected] with the story link and supporting information.
Complaints and feedback
The newsroom reviews substantiated complaints. Identify the story, disputed passage, requested correction and a way to reach you. This policy may change as the publication develops; last updated 6 August 2026.
