Reddit user klcp20 said they bought an iBuyPower display gaming PC at a Costco store in the United States for $1,140.
A photograph of the price card shows an original price of $1,899.99. A reduced price of $1,140 is written beside it by hand.
The PC is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12GB of memory, 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB SSD.
The package also includes a liquid-cooling system, Windows 11 Home, a keyboard and a mouse. The price card identifies it as the store’s last display unit.
The buyer said they plan to replace the included power supply because they are not confident in its quality. They did not indicate plans to replace the other components.
There is no basis for describing $1,140 as a record-low price: a reportedly identical configuration had previously sold for $1,000.
