Uzbekistan won 10 medals on 10 August at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent, the National Olympic Committee reported.
The team collected three gold, six silver and one bronze medal during the day’s competition.
Marjona Abdumutalova won youth snatch gold in the women’s 57kg category, Ziyoda Xudoyqulova took youth snatch gold at 61kg, and Munisa Boltayeva won junior clean and jerk gold at 61kg.
Zarina Abdullahakova earned junior snatch silver at 57kg. In the same weight class, Abdumutalova added youth silver medals in the clean and jerk and total.
At 61kg, Boltayeva won junior total silver, while Xudoyqulova earned youth silver medals in the clean and jerk and total.
Boltayeva also took junior snatch bronze at 61kg. The 10 medals were therefore won by four athletes across individual lifts and overall totals.
