Uzbekistan captain Eldor Shomurodov has said more domestic players should compete in European leagues. He made the comments during the Nima gap? programme.
The forward said foreign clubs give players international match experience and help them learn to handle pressure and face stronger opponents.
Shomurodov said that experience raises players’ individual level while also strengthening the national team. He linked the future development of Uzbek football to having more players at European clubs.
