Uzbekistan has approved procedures for laboratory testing during the construction, reconstruction and repair of roads, the Ministry of Justice reported.
The regulation was registered on July 20, 2026, under number 3904. It governs checks on whether completed work complies with technical requirements for road construction.
Contractors must maintain continuous quality control through their own laboratories. If they do not have one, testing must be arranged with an external laboratory under contract.
Clients may appoint an accredited laboratory to verify the volume and quality of work being accepted. The laboratory must be selected in line with public procurement legislation.
However, clients are barred from assigning acceptance checks to the contractor’s laboratory or to a laboratory already hired by the contractor. The rule separates final quality checks from the company performing the work.
