A total of 21,042 foreign nationals arrived in Uzbekistan to study between January and June 2026, the National Statistics Committee reported.
The figure increased by 11,500 people, or 2.2 times, compared with the same period of 2025.
Turkmenistan accounted for the largest group, with 9,207 arrivals. India followed with 3,723 and Tajikistan with 1,915.
The remaining leading countries were China with 951 arrivals, Kyrgyzstan with 834, Pakistan with 689, Egypt with 603 and South Korea with 526.
Another 367 people arrived from the Philippines and 302 from the United States. A further 1,925 came from other countries.
