Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency has signed an agreement with a US recruitment company to prepare citizens for seasonal agricultural work under the H-2A programme, the agency reported.
The parties will develop curricula tailored to employers’ needs. Candidates will receive English-language courses and vocational training.
Applicants’ practical skills will be assessed through a joint certification system. The agreement also provides for transparent mechanisms to select and deploy workers.
The agency will select candidates and brief them on US labour law and working conditions. It will also oversee their timely return to Uzbekistan after the seasonal work ends.
Initial requirements from US employers and registration instructions will be published later on the Xorijda ish Telegram channel.
