Uzbekistan’s Interior Ministry and the Central Bank prevented 29 trillion soums from being transferred out illegally, the government portal reported.
The dedicated system also enabled officials to block 18,838 bank cards linked to criminal activity.
Officers solved 9,282 cybercrimes during the reporting period. A further 4,011 offences were detected proactively.
Law enforcement recovered more than 120.496 billion soums in losses suffered by over 13,000 citizens.
A public awareness campaign on online threats and cybersecurity reached more than 23 million people.
The Interior Ministry board nevertheless described the work as insufficient. Officials were instructed to examine complaints more thoroughly, analyse the causes of cybercrime and train personnel in new methods for countering digital threats.
