Uzarchive said it has launched a public service allowing people to retrieve original personal documents from state archives.
The service covers records transferred to archives after organisations were liquidated. Eligible items include employment record books, school certificates, diplomas and other personal documents.
Applications can be filed at a Public Services Centre or online through my.gov.uz. Applicants do not need to visit an archive in person when submitting the request.
The form requires personal and contact details, information about any name change, and the organisation or educational institution whose records may have been transferred to the archive.
A recovered original can be collected from the state archive or delivered by courier to the requested address. Applications must be reviewed within 10 working days.
The service fee is set at one base calculation unit. The request may be refused if the document is not held by the archive.
If the document owner has died, their parents, spouse or children may apply. The applicant will receive the search result through the information system.
