Tashkent authorities unveiled plans for three public spaces in the capital, the city’s official portal reported.
Courtyards are to receive children’s and sports equipment with safe surfacing. The structures must be durable and accessible to children and adults with disabilities.
Work is continuing on a 24/7 district along sections of Yangishahar and Amir Temur streets in Yunusabad. The project includes pedestrian areas, service facilities, lighting, landscaping and safety measures.
After inspecting the site, officials set measures and deadlines for addressing the shortcomings they identified. The city portal did not give a specific completion date.
Work has begun to turn the area beside the Islam Karimov Scientific and Educational Memorial Complex into an open public park. Lattice fencing will be removed, with accessible entrances and a connected network of pedestrian routes added.
The park plan also provides for step-free access, preservation of green space, modern lighting, navigation and safety equipment.
