The Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis has approved a law providing for automatic pension payments to people with Group I and II disabilities.
Payments will be processed proactively after a medical and social assessment, without a separate application or additional paperwork.
Pensions for working retirees will be recalculated automatically every two years, provided they have accumulated at least one year of service since the previous award or recalculation.
The law also guarantees that the final payment after all deductions will not fall below the minimum consumer expenditure level.
