The Minsk Automobile Plant discussed procedures for hiring Uzbek citizens with a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency, the agency reported.
The meeting involved deputy agency director Elyor Toshtemirov, representatives of the Uzbek embassy in Belarus and plant management. The parties reviewed the process for interviewing candidates.
They also discussed training new employees at the plant and helping them adapt. The delegation inspected MAZ production workshops, its canteen, dormitory and other staff facilities.
More than 120 Uzbek citizens currently work at the company. Their average monthly pay ranges from $800 to $1,000, according to the agency’s statement.
Delegation members also met Uzbek employees at the plant and explained labour and migration law requirements. The agency did not disclose the number of new vacancies or a timetable for possible recruitment.
