Tashkent’s emergency department partially restricted operations at Kuylyuk farmers’ market in Bektemir district on 5 August, the authority reported.
The decision followed an inspection that found several breaches of fire-safety requirements. Part of the market was also disconnected from the power supply.
Specialists warned that the deficiencies could cause a fire and endanger people’s lives, health and property.
The market will be allowed to resume full operations after its management corrects all identified violations.
