Parts of a Siberian ibex carcass were found being offered for sale during a raid in Ahangaran district, the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change reported.
The operation was conducted by environmental police and the district internal affairs department in the Kuksaroy mahalla. The committee said a local resident had hunted the animal without a permit.
The authority cited breaches of Articles 32 and 33 of the law on the protection and use of wildlife, as well as Articles 17, 23 and 27 of the law on hunting and hunting management.
Damage to wildlife was assessed at UZS 6.18 million. The materials are being prepared for referral to the courts for a legal assessment and a decision on possible liability.
