Etihad Airways has launched daily nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent, Uzbekistan Airports reported.
The first Airbus A320 landed at Tashkent International Airport at 2:05 a.m. on August 10. The aircraft received a water salute, while passengers and crew were welcomed with flowers and traditional sweets.
The ceremony brought together representatives of the airline, Uzbekistan Airports and the UAE Embassy in Uzbekistan. After welcoming remarks, participants cut a ribbon to mark the opening of the new air link.

Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates. The daily frequency gives passengers a direct link between the two capitals and connecting options through Abu Dhabi.
