Centrum Air refunded more than 9.7 million Uzbek soum for unused tickets to two foreign passengers after they complained to Uzbekistan’s Competition Promotion Committee.
The passengers had booked a return itinerary from Baku to Bangkok via Tashkent. The airline cancelled the Tashkent–Bangkok flight on July 13 and the return flight on July 20.
They had to buy replacement tickets at their own expense and continue the journey independently. Airport staff issued documents confirming their right to a full refund for the cancelled flights.
Despite that confirmation, the money was not returned within the specified period. After the complaint was reviewed, the passengers received the full 9.7 million soum, stated in the source material as $808.62.
Centrum Air also offered each passenger one free flight on any of its scheduled routes as compensation for the inconvenience.
