At its 18th plenary session, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis reviewed the National Anti-Corruption Report: 7,517 people were held criminally liable in 2025, while damage to state interests exceeded 2.9 trillion Uzbek soum.
The highest numbers of corruption-related offences were recorded in preschool and school education, healthcare, local government bodies and commercial banks.
In-depth reviews were conducted across healthcare, education, employment, banking and cadastre services. Targeted roadmaps were approved for districts and cities with high corruption risks.
Corruption risks and regulatory gaps were found in one out of every four draft legal acts reviewed.
Violations worth 12.6 trillion soum were identified in public procurement. Some government agencies and regions received unsatisfactory scores for anti-corruption effectiveness and on the openness index.
