Tatarstan leader Rustam Minnikhanov offered condolences to Shavkat Mirziyoyev after a drone attack on Nizhnekamsk on 10 August.
Eight Uzbek citizens and one Tajik citizen were killed when a hostel in an industrial zone was struck.
Minnikhanov sent words of support to the families of those killed and injured.
“We share the pain of this irreparable loss. At this difficult hour, our thoughts and feelings are with the families of the victims of this inhuman terrorist attack,” — from Rustam Minnikhanov’s message to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Tatarstan leader said the families of those killed and injured would receive the necessary assistance in coordination with the Uzbek and Tajik diplomatic missions in Russia.
A special commission was sent to Tatarstan on the Uzbek president’s instructions. It is preparing to repatriate the bodies of the Uzbek citizens who were killed.
