The cost of ingredients for one kilogram of plov rose by 7–10% across Uzbekistan’s regions over the year. That exceeded the official inflation rate of 6.4%.
The basket increased the most in Khorezm and Andijan regions, where growth topped 10%. In Khorezm, its cost reached nearly UZS 118,000, up from UZS 106,000 a year earlier.
The increase exceeded 9% in Bukhara Region and Tashkent, while other regions recorded growth of about 7%.
In July 2026, Tashkent had the most expensive basket at UZS 128,730. Karakalpakstan had the lowest price at UZS 107,396.
The calculation includes 700 grams of beef, one kilogram of laser rice, 300 millilitres of oil, one kilogram of carrots, 300 grams of onions, 100 grams of chickpeas, 10 grams of cumin and 20 grams of salt.
