Uzbekistan is ready to supply Kyrgyzstan with up to 20,000 tonnes of petroleum products each month.
Kyrgyz Cabinet chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev announced the agreement after talks with Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.
Kyrgyzstan imports more than 90% of the fuel it consumes. The government is seeking additional sources amid developments in the Middle East and reduced supplies from Russia.
Bishkek is also holding talks with China, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and European countries. Belarus has already begun providing support.
The first fuel tankers have arrived from China. Future shipments are expected to move by rail.
Kyrgyzstan is subsidising diesel, autogas and AI-92 petrol to limit increases at filling stations. Kasymaliev nevertheless warned that higher fuel prices would be unavoidable.
