A special-equipment plant is planned on a 10-hectare site in Tashkent’s Yangihayot district, the Uzbek presidential press service said.
The new site is expected to localise production worth $15–18 million a year. The official statement does not specify construction costs, a launch timetable or the number of future jobs.
The project was presented during Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to the existing Nurafshon Maxsus Texnika enterprise. That plant covers 25.8 hectares, and the completed project cost $50 million.
The company produces special-purpose vehicles, military equipment and machinery under the KRANTAS brand. It employs more than 300 specialists and uses equipment and technology supplied by companies from the United States, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Russia, China and Türkiye.
By the time of the visit, the plant had produced about 2,500 tonnes of metal structures, more than 300 vehicle superstructures, over 200 chassis and 20 tractors.
The enterprise supplied goods worth 275 billion soum in 2025. Those figures relate to the existing Nurafshan plant and are not the projected capacity of the future Yangihayot site.
