Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov proposed that EAEU countries create a joint industrial cooperation programme, reports Open.kg.
The programme would include specific projects, production sites, partner companies and financing mechanisms. Agreements reached at the Innoprom Central Asia exhibition in Tashkent could form its basis.
Another initiative calls for a common digital space to simplify trade. Supervisory authorities would be able to exchange data, while countries would mutually recognise electronic documents.
Aripov also proposed a portfolio of energy-efficiency and clean-technology projects to support the green transformation of industry. It could include artificial intelligence tools for managing energy consumption.
Uzbekistan is also ready to discuss integrating its digital employment platform with the EAEU system. This is expected to ease labour mobility, with launch arrangements to be agreed with the Eurasian Economic Commission.
In tourism, Tashkent proposed developing a Central Asian Tourism Ring with cross-border routes and a common calendar of events.
Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Commission are completing a three-year joint action plan. A working group is due to meet in Tashkent this autumn to discuss further alignment of Uzbekistan’s and the EAEU’s technical regulation systems.
