Hunter Biden said his father Joe Biden’s prostate cancer had spread to other parts of his body, CBS News reported.
“The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further. It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects,” — Hunter Biden.
Joe Biden disclosed the diagnosis in May 2025, less than four months after leaving the White House. His office said at the time that the cancer had a Gleason score of 9 and was in Grade Group 5, the most severe category.
The former president underwent surgery for skin cancer in September 2025. His office said he completed a course of radiation therapy for prostate cancer the following month.
“It’s really sad to watch. The only thing that I’d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good,” — Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden said his father continued to speak publicly about issues important to him despite his condition. Joe Biden is 83 and was the oldest person to serve as US president.
The former president plans to publish a memoir titled “Promise Me, America” after the midterm elections.
