Two Texas data-centre projects with a combined estimated cost of $1 billion have been linked to Google through their owners’ address, IXBT reported citing Data Center Dynamics.
Both facilities are registered at FM 2897 S in Vernon, Wilbarger County. Each filing lists an estimated cost of $500 million and an area of 991,000 square feet, or about 92,000 square metres.
The first project, Rise 1A, is registered to Planton Investments LLC, while Rise 2A is registered to Platon Investments LLC. Both companies gave 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, the location of Google’s campus; that address is the basis for the journalistic link to the company.
Both filings carry Project Registered status and describe new construction. The scope includes a data centre, mechanical and electrical yards, fire lanes, a security entrance and utilities.
The dates listed in the filings run from 31 March 2026 to 31 March 2028. They represent the submitted timetable and do not, by themselves, confirm that physical construction has begun.
Google is not named directly in the registration cards. The $1 billion figure therefore reflects journalists’ identification of two projects through a corporate address, not an official Google investment announcement.
