Tesla is preparing its 2026 Summer Release, which will let Grok control selected cabin functions, the company announced. The update is expected to roll out shortly.
Grok voice commands will support phone calls, music search and playback, climate adjustments and opening the glovebox. The assistant will also answer questions about the vehicle, but it will not control the car’s movement.
The mobile app will add viewing and sharing of self-driving statistics. Caraoke will score performances and save high scores to the driver profile; the feature will work only while the vehicle is parked.
Automatic Navigation may suggest regularly visited destinations based on the driver’s routines and prioritise previously used routes. Drivers will also be able to set their preferred arrival energy from the app.
Users will be able to upload custom vehicle-wrap designs through the app. Rear Display Lock will let rear passengers watch content while control of the display remains with front-row occupants.
Other changes include searching for Superchargers by name, Apple Music queueing, a preferred zoom level for driving visualisation and browser access to the camera and microphone. Tesla did not provide a model-by-model or regional rollout schedule.
