Tesla removed a pledge to begin volume production of the Cybercab, Semi and Megapack 3 in 2026 from its quarterly update, a comparison of its second-quarter report with the previous document shows.
The first-quarter update said the company planned to reach volume production for all three products in 2026. The new report says Cybercab production has begun, but the phrase “volume production” and the shared timetable for the three projects are gone.
Tesla also said production Cybercabs were undergoing road testing. Production of the Semi electric truck and Megapack 3 energy-storage system is still planned for 2026, but the company gave no new date for reaching large-scale output.
Tesla delivered 480,126 vehicles in the second quarter. Revenue rose 26% year on year to $28.236 billion, while capital expenditure climbed 142% to $5.789 billion.
GAAP net income fell 5% to $1.114 billion. The report does not give a new volume-production date for the Cybercab, Semi or Megapack 3.
