Samsung said European pre-orders for its new Galaxy Z series beat the previous record by more than 17%.
Galaxy Z Fold8 accounted for 40% of all European pre-orders for the series. Combined demand for Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra rose 70% compared with Galaxy Z Fold7 a year earlier.
The new lineup includes Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. Samsung presents Fold8 as a new form factor designed for quick transitions between the cover and main displays.
Pre-orders closed on August 6, and European sales of the new series began on August 7, 2026.
