In the first six months of 2026, 562,918 low-income families in Uzbekistan received compensation for electricity and natural gas costs.
The payments totalled UZS 92.1 billion. Electricity compensation accounted for UZS 51.4278 billion, while natural gas payments amounted to UZS 40.7023 billion.
The payments are provided under Presidential Resolution No. PP-134 of April 2, 2025. They cover the difference between the basic tariff and the higher price charged for consumption above the established allowance.
Families can obtain information on applying from a social worker in their mahalla, a district Inson social services centre or the 1140 helpline.
