Citizens of Uzbekistan made more than 1.1 million entries into Russia for work in January–June 2026.
The number of such trips fell by 13.2% from the first half of 2025. Uzbekistan nevertheless remained the largest Central Asian source of work-related entries into Russia.
Over the same period, Tajik citizens recorded 494,500 entries for work, while Kyrgyz citizens recorded 289,100.
Citizens of the three countries made about 1.9 million work-related entries into Russia in total during the six months.
The statistics count border crossings where work was declared as the purpose of travel, rather than the number of unique labour migrants.
