Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Preschool and School Education cancelled a tender with a starting price of 587.2 million Uzbek soum, the Competition Committee reported.
The tender was announced on 27 July 2026 to select a company to provide services for centrally organised events.
The review found that the selection process did not comply with Article 29 of the Competition Law. The committee identified conduct that restricted or could restrict competition among bidders.
The ministry cancelled the selection procedure in accordance with the established process after receiving the committee’s request.
The committee said preventing such violations should improve transparency in public spending and provide more equal conditions for businesses.
