Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a treaty on allied relations in Cholpon-Ata on July 30.
According to the Uzbek presidential press service, the leaders also exchanged decisions concerning specific border sections and the joint use of the Chashma spring.
The document package covers state social insurance and pensions, mutual recognition of higher-education results, border checkpoints and travel by citizens of the two countries.
Separate agreements concern Uzbek health resorts in the Issyk-Kul region, the Buston boarding house, and cooperation in culture, tourism and agriculture.
The package creates a legal framework for further cooperation on the border, social protection, education and cross-border travel.
