On July 20, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich.Details publishedin a message from the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.
Karankevich conveyed greetings to Mirziyoyev from the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. At the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
A separate topic was the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Minsk on July 8-9. The action plan provides for increasing mutual trade to $2 billion and launching joint projects in priority sectors.
The parties also discussed the Belarusian experience in the construction and operation of a nuclear power plant. Belarus can participate in expert support of the Uzbek project, training of specialists and joint programs of specialized universities.
