Consumer prices in Uzbekistan fell 0.1% in July 2026 as agricultural produce became seasonally cheaper.
Annual inflation remained at June’s level of 6.4%. Prices have risen 3.2% since the start of the year.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages became 0.9% cheaper on average during the month. Aubergine prices fell 42.8%, bell peppers 39.4%, tomatoes 24%, watermelons 20.3%, potatoes 18% and melons 14.5%.
Excluding fruit and vegetables, monthly prices rose 0.4%. Non-food goods became 0.3% more expensive and paid services rose 0.5%.
Higher fuel and service costs partly offset cheaper food, adding 0.12 percentage points to the monthly index. Petrol prices rose 4.8% and propane became 1.7% more expensive.
Local tariff changes raised bus fares in Tashkent Region by 15%. A change in refuse-collection charges added 2.7% to the regional index in Fergana Region.
Prices declined in almost every region, with the largest fall of 0.3% recorded in Kashkadarya Region. The index was unchanged in Tashkent, while a 0.1% increase was recorded only in Fergana Region. The capital had the highest annual inflation rate at 6.9%.
